MPavilion is an initiative of the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, supported by City of Melbourne, State Government of Victoria, through Creative Victoria and ANZ. Fairy Tales, Monsters and Wild Animals for Solo Guitar
"The program is based around the major new work for guitar and narration, In the Wild, by Meredith Connie, and will be complemented by works that are themed around fantastical worlds and things that go bump in the night (works by Stepan Rak, J.K Mertz, Phillip Houghton). It’s a fun, dynamic program and has gotten great responses from audiences for it’s ageless appeal and programmatic elements."
Here is a video of three lovely pieces by Phillip Houghton that help describe the mood of the concert, from his "Gothica: A book of Spooks and Spectres"
Admission is on a sliding scale (pay what you can afford)
